Default kill switch

here is my idea... on the momentary contanct switch part from this diagram... can i use a reed switch(switch triggered by a magnet) and just have the magnet there when i start the car, and then remove it after.... i wanted to do this on my fuel pump as well but i think that would need constant power right

Dont do fuel pump. Thats the oldest trick in the book, and the first place a theif will look.

Yes, you can.

I'm not sure what you mean, but you will need to hook up whatever switch you use to a constant power source.

You have the diagram right there. Substitute fuel pump for starter wire. The reed switch is a momentary switch.

I hate that response. I say any mony you can spend to make it more difficult for a thief is money well spent. Sure this particular modification wouldnt help against a damn flatbed but it will stop the jackass screwdriver-in-the-ignition thief.
