idle funny

Default idle funny

idle jumps from 1 to 2 grand...changed the iac valve any other suggestions?

Check for vacuum leaks around the throttle body and intake manifold and where the manifold connects to the head.

check for the iac, fitv, any leaks and bleed the coolant.
i got the same problem and replaced the iac, fitv, and bled the coolant, now i'm in search of leaks... i'll get it done this weekend..

the FITV is right below your TB, check the archive for info on it, but you should take the flat face off of it, and screw down the white center peice. Thats what caused the bouncing idle in my car. hope that helps

thats where i get lost...i looked for it and i don't understand where your talking about.....if someone has a pic of it from a motor or something....I looked under the tb and behind and in front....its two screws....i took off this plate behind the tb and inside was like a bronze piece and like a plastic washer or something so ..i put that back on and decided i was in the wrong place

thats a How To on fixing the FITV
It's Located Directly under the TB, with i believe 3 bolts holding it on (D series TB) It also has one coolant line going in and a vacuum line attached. It is not to be confused w/ the IACV which is on teh Back of the TB, behind the Intake Manifold (if you are standing direcly in front of your car) The FITV is DIRECTLY under the TB. I wish i had some pics but none (
