Default Help LS vtec

I'm about to buy an Integra with a LS motor, would someone guide me to put a b18c head on it? How would it fit? would it break out as much horsepower as a B18c1 would?

I would have to say it depends on what engine mods you choose to do...from stock head/stock block...MAYBE the same as GSR. With cams, v/t, p&p etc you have a chance to make MORE than ITR.

Search and read what people have built.

i mean my lord 5k on a ls/vtec.....for that amount of money u could have bought a b18c5 that is alot more reliable and plus still be able to mod the c5..... i don't understand why people pour so much money into a ls/vtec.

no no my friend, the reason i poured the 5k is because it will be just as reliable as a b18c5.

"Ls/Vtec is reliable if done right"
im doin it right my friend.
and i could still mod it.

plus a c5 would cost about the same, if not more and i could waste a c5 with this setup

i mean all u would have todo is stick some skunk2 stage twos or some crower 404's then have a p28 ecu chipped and have the revlimiter raised to 10k and it would be on like donkey kong for ur ls/vtec

I don't think it's that simple on the rev limit part. I would say you would need to keep your revs to around 8k, depending on what rods and pistons you use it could be higher. With ARP rod bolts...8k...with aftermarket rods and pistons...maybe 9k. My LS/V JUST got delivered today. They're finishing the assembly now. I built mine with ARP rod bolts and stock rods. I won't be reving mine past 8k unless on the track. Be safe and know what your build limits you to. That's why we all say SEARCH and RESEARCH .

BTW...chipping the ecu is not the way I would do it. please use Hondata .

these people and their (ls-vtec relaibilty issues) if the person that puts the damn thing together knows what they are doing it will be just as reliable if not more than any other b-series motor.
