this is all you need to pull the hub out: http://www.thetoolwarehouse.ne....html I've use this tool endless times with painless results.
the key to removing it is to kept the axle still in it slightly. remove the nut on the axle until it's flushed with the axle and using this tool press the hub out. simple done
BTW spraying down the hub(at where the spindle and hub meets) with wd-40 or any lube will help this process.

Yeah i was using Kroil Oil, it is a pretty good penitrating oil. I used some heat and was able to get it off.
Yeah i used that axle/ hub puller and it pushed the axle out the back most of the way.
Thanks for your all your help, preciate it

if you still kept the axle nut on the axle it would not move out of the hub, hence you have a backstop to use to pull the hub out.

No because the axle is nutted to the hub so it doesn't come out.

why not just get the dremel out. trim off some of the back of the broken studs and hammer them out. then "D" the new ones and slip them in.

You don't understand, if you leave the axle nut on it slightly with a few thread on it and press it out with that hub puller you will break the "lock" the hub has on the spindle. I've done this hundreds of times on a lot of different FWD cars with the same results.

I used a gear puller to remove the hub. heres a link https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=495293 Then to press the bearing and hub back. I used a 1/2" threaded rod, two 1/2" nuts and two 4"x4" plates 1/4'" thick with a 1/2" hole drill out on center. Just sandwich the knuckle and hub with the plates run the rod threw the holes on the plate and tighten the nuts. Use a lot of oil and a torch will help. I've done all the bushings, wheel bearing and, wheel lug on my car with out a press.

im reading what youre saying, but i still dont understand. do you mean that youre stretching the threads on the axle nut in order to break loose the hub? so basically youre sacrificing the axle nut? how do you insure the axle threads dont stretch either?

that doesnt work on cars with 10" front brakes. It works on ef's, but on integras/ex/si's, it wont work because the spindle is too close to the back of the stud and the stud will not be able to slide out the back without hitting the spindle.

You're reading it wrong. The hub is stuck on the spindle. I suggested the Original poster he press the hub out by using the axle nut as a "holder" to prevent the axle from slipping out of the spindle. That's it and no it will not damage the threads on the axle nut because I've done it countless times and checked the threads afterwords by screwing it back on the axle by hand without any issues.
