ok I have these axles and 3 of the cv joints are really "loose" or glide easily but the
one closest to the hub spindle on the passenger's side is kind of hard to move. is this normal or should they all feel the same..thanks for any replies

 

How old are the axles?

Are there any tears in the boots? WHen you say "loose" do they flop around like they are disconnected, or are they firm and smooth when you move them around?

The one thats tight and hard to move, does it grind or catch when you rotate the shaft around?

 

nope no tears in the boot..the ones that seem normal glide smoothly.
the one that doesn't seem right doesn't catch or grind and moves pretty smooth but its just way "stiffer" then the others...it takes more effort to move it.

Are they new axles? The one thats stiffer sounds fine, just might be a little newer (less miles) than the others.

Long as there are no rips, and they dont bind, you should be gtg

as long as you dont have a tear in the axle boot your fine...
