Default Can I run without a muffler?

my muffler came off a few days ago cause of extensive rust.
i was wondering if i can still drive it without a muffler and it be legal?

yea, it will be illegal, becuase it will be to loud(above 95db)...not sure if the muffler affects ur emmisions tho

Well I believe that is some states you can run around without a muffler IF and only IF you have the resonator still in place. The resonator cuts down on a lot and if the rest of your exhaust is stock, you shouldn't have a problem with the noise.

Seeing as how you're in GA, you should ask around. My old car was like that and she still wasn't very loud. Then again, she was 2.0 and not 2.2. Not sure if that is a big difference in sound or not but hey...
