Default FITV Idle Surge problem..

Well today me and my friend went to work on his lude'. We were trying to find a fix for the FITV idle surge problem. Well we get the FITV off the TB and he said that he heard there is a screw in there that can come loose and cause the valve to get stuck open. Well we found out the hard way that there is no such thing...

Now, the cheapest i could find a new FITV is around $54.00. Is there any store here on the internet or out in town that i could find one for cheaper than that.

We know that this is the problem because while the engine is running, if you plug the hole in the TB with your finger, the idle stops surging, so we are positive this is the problem...

Also another question.. The previous owner of this prelude said it is a JDM H22. Well im not quite sure i believe him, because when i look at the engine code it does say just H22A without a number after it, yet it looks like the number has been grinded off. Is there any other way that we can possibly tell if this engine is JDM.. I know that on the timing belt cover that there is japanese writing on it. Yet ive never seen a USDM h22 compared to a USDM h22...

Thanks for any help..

look for the sun dials on the head, it will tell you when the motor was assembled or made

Lie he said, its the white plastic collar with the bullit in the middle. Tighten the collar down and that should fix your problem.
