When removing the valve cover and looking straight down on the top of the head, in the middle of the head there is a small black hole. Is there a piece that goes there? Maybe if someone had a top view picture of a head it would be easier to describe. Thanks...

thats the oil feed for the oiling system,
a dowel pin and o-ring go there

 

Do you install the dow pin from the top of the head or the bottom of the head?

 

how would you install it from the bottom?

 

Arent there dowel pins on the bottom of the head?

 

Thats why I was confused...the dowel pins on the bottom of the head are bigger and different than the one that goes in the top middle. I didnt know there were different types of dowel pins on the head. Thanks for the help.
