Removed A/C, idle now bad
Maybe someone could give me some handmedown knowledge on where I went wrong, or where I should have done more. I took out the A/C components below. What happens now is when my car is warmed up it idles between 1krpms-1.5krpms. It tends to rise up and then drop, rise and drop once or twice then it stops for several seconds. This basically happens every time I stop and depress the clutch pedal and let it sit.
I have a 1991 Integra LS. I had the A/C system discharged, and I removed these things today:
A/C compressor
One refridgerant line from compressor to driver side bumper
One refridgerant line going into the passenger side firewall from compressor
A/C compressor bracket
A/C fan
That is all I got done today. Tomorrow or some time next week I plan on removing the condensor, all lines within the front bumper assembly, and the last line that I believe is going into the firewall underneath the one I took out. I am pretty sure that is all that is left. I am wondering if what I left in there is what is causing the funky idle. I don't believe there are any vacuum lines or electrical connections that would affect the computer though...
PLEASE HELP! It isn't completely hindering but it annoys me when I idle.

There should be nothing else in there that would cause your idle to do that. You might just have to adjust your idle.Just double check everything and make sure you didn't disconnect nothing while taking out the a/c compresser. If everything looks good just adjust the idle and see what happens.
you sure its not just a coincedent, there is nothing your in you a/c unit that would effect your idle, unless u turn it on and it causes belt drag and the idle drops, it sounds to me like it could be your iac valve, or a vacuum prob, are you sure that when you took out the line from the firewall to the compressor you didn't hit any of the vacuum lines coming off the fire wall charcoal canister or any sensors, what about your intake, i'm guessing you removed that to take out the a/c line to the fire wall, are you sure there are not any lines leaking or that got banged around or a little slice or nick? just a few thoughts for you hope you figure it out,
Just figure I would enlighten you guys if any of you wanted to follow up. I took my bumper off today to remove the remaining refridgerant lines and the condenser. On the driver side of my radiator where one of the lines runs trhough the front bulkhead into the bumper there was a sensor on that line.
I can't say for sure what it's purpose is. I just assume it monitors temperature or something as it leads to the radiator. When I unplugged it and tapped it up, my idle became fine. It runs at a smooth 7-800rpm like normal. I even drove it for a while and it seems to be fixed. Maybe this sensor isn't on the 3rd gen Integra's or maybe most people don't care to take off the bumper to remove all of the lines but if anyone else decides to take off their A/C unit and components have a look next to your radiator for one of those plugs.

unplug SIAC connector, unplug MAP sensor and the connector next to MAP sensor (behind the TB i think).
do a nice a slow glance over ur vacuum lines.
reconnect everything
reset your ECU.
let it idles til warm
if any erractic idling occurs during warming up then YOU GOT VACUUM LEAKS, funky idles = unconsistency of pressure of MAP or SIAC or VACUUM lines
good luck man
