Default Odd idle problems

Hey there recently I have been having idle problems, when I leave my car in idle and in neutral my car will lose its RPM's from 2,000rpm (my car idles high because I didn't cap off a line) and drop to about 1,000rpm's then come right back up and it will repeat itself untill I apply gas. The only thing I did to my car recently was remove my cruise control (the whole thing). It has only been happening recently. I am thinking its a vaccum line that needs to be capped off somewhere.. The engine actually revs up and down, its not just the rev-o-meter. At stop lights it makes me seem like I am rev my engine up and down.

Okay heres the deal

I unplugged my vaccum line from my intake to the head and plugged it back up. Now my car idles at around 1.1krpm's. When I turn on my AC/HEAT the idle hopping begins to start again.

I also noticed after taking a hard look at my AC system I see alot of vaccum caps and just missing lines, maybe thats why my AC never blows cold. Anyone has a diagram of a full H23 AC system?

*EDIT*

Never mind it still idle hop up and down

What is causing this!!!! This is getting very annoying and sounds like I am trying to rev at a stop light, its kind of embarassing.

*EDIT #2*

I looked around and remembered I removed my cruise control, so I put my finger over the little plug that sucks in air continously and then my idle stay stable. I wasn't sure what rpm's it was running at because I had no one to sit in the car for me but th engine was very quiet and I guess sounded normal. I will go get a vaccum plug tommorrow and see if that solves my problem.. This could of been the little bugger that has been causing my idle to surge continously.

Anyways, I was kinda dumb about this situation.. 2 vaccum plugs from my local auto store fixed it, now my car idles at like 800rpm's.. :] my car idles perfect, and it not as jerky shifting from 1st to 2nd... or maybe its placebo haha.

Where exactly this vacuum plug/s are again? I'm having idle problem and found bad FITV and waiting for the part. I checked all vacuum connections and this might be something I missed. Thx in advance.

make sure your valvecover vent tubes are hooked up. One from the pcv--->intake mani and one from the intake arm--->vc breather nipple thingy.

I would keep on looking for any minute vaccuum leaks. I used carb cleaner and sprayed almost everything around the engine block, under the intake manifold and there is no change so I assumed whtaever vacuum leak I have would be minute. I have replaced the PCV valve last year, its cheap so I might just replace that thing again. My O2 sensor was replaced about the same time. I re-cleaned the EACV valve this time soaking it for more than 15 minutes and it did make a little difference as far as the cycle. It now takes longer between rpm drops used to be every 3-5 seconds and now it does it every 10 sec or so. I also bought a whole trhottle with sensors on it so I was able to swap the MAP and Idle control valve with no change in sysmptom/s.
Next step for me is to clean EACV again and do the idle adjust procedure and coolant bleed. I will Keep posting until this is resolved. Thks

in order of easiest to hardest...

adjust the idle - EXACTLY as per helms... (after making sure you have no intake leaks etc)
clean the IACV (i think you call it the EACV but whateva)
retighten the FITV (but not all the way in cold climates otherwise you will lose your fast idle all together)....

after that seach.. cuz this has been covered a million times.

last time this happened to me, i f'd with both the IACV and the FITV, before finally trying to adjust the idle as per helm spec - and all that fixed the problem was the idle adjustment.. cheap and easy.

*oops pressed delete instead of reply/edit**

Let the thread die. The OP left the vacuum hoses unplugged, exposed and didn't remove CC correctly in the first place. Vacuum leak...yeah no ****?
