b16a rev limit

Default b16a rev limit

i have a jdm b16a and it hits rev limit at like 7900 should i rasie it to make more power or is just not worth it because i heared of people making power all the way up to 8200 on them by the way how do i change my rev limter

Well you could get a chipped ecu to set a higher rev limit and some other goodies come with chipping ecus. Like launch staul, no speed limiter, full throttle shifting etc. What ecu are you running? becuause when I had my B16a in it didnt hit rev limit until 8500!!

are you sure its not just your tach? you should be able to rev a little higher than that. I bet your tach is off a little. Where does your vtec kick in?

stock rev limit is 8200..Think your tach is a bit off man

its not ALWAYS 8200. there are many variations with the p30 and pr3 ecu's. Some have higher xovers and fuel cuts than others.

p30 ecu nad i have a vfac and it also says 7900 so how will i be able to fix that

Theres noting wrong with it. When i had a stock p30, my vafc says 7,900RPM also. Get a cheap chip if youre bothered by it.

cant you adjust your rev limit with your vafc? you must have a very old PR3 ecu

No, its just a Vtec, Air & Fuel Controller. I dont know, the ecu came with a G2 B16 92 i got.
