Default ls/vtec ???'s (i searched)

hello fellow all mota heads. i have a question i am runnig a ls vtec with stock b18b bottom end with arp rod studs and ACL bearings and fully stock head, i have a b16 bottom end and was wondering if i took the pistons out and put them in my ls vtec how much more powerfull will me lil VX be. i know the compression ratio is like 11.5:1. so where does that put me in HP and TQ gains over my stock setup??

You definatley want those B16 pistons in there. The CR is about 11.2 with PR3 (B16A) Pistons, and around 12.0:1 with PCT (CTR) pistons.

Not sure about an approximate HP gain, I'm running CTRs and a milled head with my setup.. probably around 12.3, I run on 93 pump with stock timing. You definatley don't want LS pistons, you'll have around 9.3-9.5:1 compression with LS pistons.

as stated above you'll be around 11:3 compression. look for hp with just a stock b16 head to be around 160 whp with torque around 120 wtrq.

ya thats what i have right now, (ls pistions) what head r u using i have b16 with stock cams and was wondering if theres any valve to pistion clearance problems? if i went to a toda spec b cams (witch i might be getting) would i just take in consideration for the lift on the cam. would i need the relief cut more? i know Honda Tunner did a B20/vtec and they used CTR cams, they said that they had to cut the rerliefs...if the relief was cut would that raise or lower my compression??

I dont think you will need to cut the valve reliefs to run those cams, but to make sure just clay your motor since it will be apart anyway.
