Default fuel pressure ???

hi
I was just wondering what fuel pressure to run on ls with bolt ons??? I have it at 40psi right now. it will pull hard but acts like a vtec motor when it hits 4000 rpms it just pulls real hard. didn't know if thats the nature of the ls or if I have my fuel pressure to high or to low???

I have a related question about fuel pressure.

When you adjust it do you disconnect the vacuum source? Or do I leave the connection to the intake manifold on and adjust it?

I don't mean to jack this thread, but when you do a swap, (like an LS into a Sol), do you need to replace the stock fuel pump with one from the car you got the motor out of? Will a stock civic fuel pump work reliably with a swaped motor?
Thanks in advance!

just swap the fuel pump with something like a walboro 255, 310cc injectors, and MSDign. system or equal and dont worry about the pressure, thats what my friend did to up his HP, or just leave it at stock if you dont wanna drop the cash on the other stuff

Hose comes off for adjusting. It doesn't really matter, but the pressures given are usually with the hose off.

It's supposed to. (Well maybe not skyrocket but go up 5-10psi)
