Im working on a set of cam gears. Nothing is to spec, but Im just trying to figure out how exactly they work, what I need, complications, etc.

If you wanna make a IHI VF-series turbo flange, thatd be great!

Equal length is not the only thing you also must consider the optimum length.

Try solid works or maybe rhino i believe its alot easier to draw 3D in those progs

CAM GEARS ARE PRETTY EASY.. JUST FIND THE DIAMETER THEN COUNT HOW MANY PIONTS YOU NEED THEN USE THE ARRAY FUNCTION TO CREAT THE OUTER SECTION, AND THE INSIDE IS PRETTY BASIC.
IF YOU WANT A PIC I HAVE SOME OF A RATCHET GEAR IF YOU WANT SOMETHING TO REFERANCE.

GOOD LUCK

ahhh, the 'ar' command, how i love thee. My biggest problem is that I have taken a cam gear off yet to see how they fit. Im completely slacking and my final project is due in 7 weeks. The biggest *** so far is the tooth design, measuring it, and making it look correctly.

Send me those dwg's if u have them

Rich

PS> is there i way i can make a jpeg of my ACAD (2002 baby woo!) dwgs so I can share them?

I need a drawing of a IM flange for a jdm b18c5. I'd draw my own but I don't have one to measure. If no one has one I'll just order a gasket to measure, but it'd be nice if someone else had one for me to use.
