problem with Ignition coil

Default problem with Ignition coil

On a jmd crx with b16a I would like to know if there is a constant 12 volt power supply to the ignition coil (black/yellow wire) when the key if in the off position.

With the key off, no.

could anybody shead some light on why i have 12 volts at the coil when the key is off
