Default which engine would be best?

h22a vs b18c1

i've been reading alot of posts from this website and others as well. now are some questions:

1. why is the h22a so much cheaper for a complete swap than the b18c1? it produce more torque/hp.
2. i hear because of the weight/height and fabricating axles/suspension, the h22a would not be a great choice. it also rubs the chassis of the deL soL?
3. does the b18c1 have more OVER-ALL potential than the h22a?

what would you people pick? and those of you who have done either, please share experiences such as driving, handling, maintaining, good, bad, etc... thank you

The h22a is cheaper because, After all the parts/labor it will be expensive.

I say the best swap for the Del sol would be the b18c1 plus boost.

1. because of availability and cost of overall parts and labor

2. couldn't find the question

3. by far. all I know is a 2.0 liter gs-r is the baddest engine ever.

1. H22 is cheap because of a)availability and b)supply and demand. Most people would prefer the convenience of a B swap to the more involved H swap, so B series stay more expensive.

2. H22 will only rub the chassis if improperly mounted or the frame is bent

3. Last I checked, there is still no substitute for displacement, especially when you're talking overall potential. For the price of a sleeved 2.0L B18C, you could have a sleeved 2.4L H22. H22 has more overall potential.
