Now the question is, should i get another resonator or a new muffler? Which owuld help keep the noise down more? I was thinkin of gettin a magnaflow muffler or magnaflow resonator both are the same price aorund 70-100. I'm personally a fan of 22 inch resonators going into a Magnaflow oval muffler. Quiet enough to satisfy most people (including the police), plus it looks virtually stock.

Yep, a resonator will not only get rid of the raspiness but also quiet the volume. In fact, any muffler can sound like **** ... just depends on the setup. I used to have an OBX muffler on A'PEXi N1 piping, and it actually sounded LESS raspy than the N1 muffler it replaced. A little deeper, too, but just as loud. A resonator will definitely help you out in terms of tone and loudness.

A silencer has been able to quiet down my muffler to a tolerable noise level.

my set up include a magnaflow catback, which consists of JDM h22 header to a custom 3 in collector, 2.5 in carsound cat, 2.5 mandral bent catback piping, 2.5 magnaflow resonator, and 2.5 straight through muffler.

it is LOUD and bumble bee ricey. and just recieved a ITR muffler in the mail, i will have it installed this weekend maybe. hopefully that will quiet it down, and give the car a deeper tone.

i have heard of that idea. i may do that also, in addition to the ITR muffler. so i will be running 2 resonators, lol. thats how badly i want my car to be quieter.

Get the longest one that will fit on your car and then tell me how it sounds, I'm thinking of doing the same thing.
