stock b16a in crx. at 3250 rpm it feels like it suddenly hits boost. what could cause this?

in what gear does this happen?

 

A turbo.... Or you could have your timing out or lots of things. Try and give some hints, like at what speed, or what gear or what tranny or if you did the swap or if it was someone elses.....

 

Y1 tranny. i notice it on gears 1-3, im not sure about 4,5
i noticed it at half throttle, but if i remember it does the same thing at full throttle.
i did the swap myself.
no codes, didn't change timing belt at swap.

Hmm i think you have one of the rare b16a's with internal turbo, haha j/k i bet your timing is off

Are you talking about the "pull" of the engine? My motor "pulls" nicely at about that in 3rd gear, especially when I smoothly depress the pedal.
