Default help why my car stalled?

yesterday going to work when i started my car my battery gauge lite on and was not blinking it was continuous and car was shaking after about 2km the car started to stall enging was loosing power car was shaking alot more, lights, speedo everything stoped working . i had to put it in n and rev to keep it going but the futher i was going the more it was slowing and my exhaust was backfiring i was freaking out a few more km going about 20 the engine shutted off i was on the service road i let the car roll into a parking lot, tried to start it and nothing it was doing only a click noise. so i left it there came back later that night tried to start it again nothing but the click noise . tried to boost the battery after about 4 minutes and the car started at that point i though it was my alternator. drove to my work place i left running the car for about 20 minutes system full blast light opened and it never stalled it should had stalled if it was the alternator. the next morning went in a garage to check on alternator, battery, timing belt and they found nothing everything was excellent circuit charge, alternator power A, alternator power V, battery charge he even runed 4 test everything was fine. now what you guys think is it a wiring promblem that caused a short or internal alternator problem that comes and go what would be more likely i realy don't want to go do a wiring & electric checkup would cost quite a lot or what could cause this it realy pissing me off.
