Need some help with what I believe is the charging system...
Let me start off by saying my wife was driving so this may not be completely accurate. She was driving and all the gauge needles flatlined, buy all the gauge indicator lights came on. The car stayed running but wouldn't move. She pushed the gas and it did nothing but it was running. By the time I got there the car wouldn't start. Seemed like a dead battery, AAA picked it up and took it to my house. I pulled the alternator and battery and had them tested and they both "passed" Put the car on a slow charge for about 12 hours and it seemed completely normal for 36 hours. Now it runs fine but the battery light came on. Anyone point me in a direction before the dealership? I appreciate your time.

I would think the alternator is going bad. What's the output voltage of the alternator while the car is running?

Turn on an accessory (A/C, lights, radio) and see if the output voltage goes up. If it doesn't go up when an accessory is turned on then the alternator is going bad.
