Default 2000 civic si problem

ok so i got my si couple days ago.. and all of a sudden the engine check light went on.the idle sounds a little screwed like sometimes it would steadily idle then go back below 1 grand. does neone have any advice on the problem?

Did you get the CEL checked? You can either rent that tool to check or use the metal clip trick. If you go to search, look for "ECU Codes"

I believe though it's a sticky, not sure.

got to autozone and tell them you have a check engine light you want checked to see what it says is wrong

the idle should be below 1 grand once warmed up

drop in rpm's sounds like normal engine run. when the fan kicks on it cause the engine to drop in rom's a bit

the ecu code is 73 - random misfire cylinder 3

Most likely someone sprayed the engine before selling it. Pull the spark plug wires out and make sure there isn't water in the spark plug cylinders.

Sometimes on a random misfire code you can just reset the ECU and everything will be good.
