Default Did anyone change out their stock rear lower tie bar?

I have a friend that needs one. His is bent from some freeway debris and he needs the stock bar to stay legal in D Stock. So if anyone has one they don't need let me know. I know this is more of a "classifieds" post but I thought I would try here first. TIA

Yeah I would say just go to the dealership parts dept. and get one. It can't be that much...and OEM fitment/quality is a plus!

Comptech makes one specifically for the DC-2R. Direct bolt-in, Price $125. Not sure if it is DS legal though.

Yeah, I was thinking maybe someone bought the comptech bar and had the stock one laying around. I'll tell him to check A&H Motors or the dealer. Anything other than stock would not be legal.

Tanabe makes one for the R. It's attached to the original spot as well as the lower control arm bolts. Basically a four point tie bar. I'll see if I could post some pics...if anyone's interested.

Change out? No
Did I decide, "Hey what the hell lets go through a Spoon Tie bar on the car"? Yes
Did I do it for any other reason than I could? No

.....anything better about the Spoon or Comptech bars?

Just prettier? Or are they beefier, more rigid, etc?

Hey, I like it. But I want to make sure if it's just cosmetic that I'm not fooling myself. Any differences in handling since installing Mike K or Mike @ IPS?

Not sure if it made a difference, because I installed a bunch of other parts at the same time..

ES poly swaybar bushings
ES front LCA bushings
Mugen rear LCA bushings
Mugen spring hat bushings
A'PEXI WS suspension

Afterwards, the car felt great.. but I can't say if the Comptech bar did anything.

I doubt the bar helps.. but I needed just a LITTLE rice on my car.
