comptech rear tie bar?
I was thinking about getting the whole kit for my 97 hatch but after thinking about it i think it would be too much for just a ex bar up front. But I still like how the tie bar ties into the subframe, suspention and swaybar. Heres the question will a factory sway bar bolt up to the comptech tie bar? If it will somebody know where to get just the bar I thought they use to sell it seprate on the comptech site but it is not listed seprate anymore. Or is there another company that makes a tie bar that works the same as the comptech bar. I know i can just get a beaks kit but I want a tie bar too and might as well have them work as a system.

Re: comptech rear tie bar? (ef ect)
I've been running the Comptech bar on a 99 Si for quite some time.
The aluminum tie bar bolts to the subframe at three points on thea side (left and right). One bolt on each side attaches to the bar throught he LCA pivot. Two others on each side are longer bolts (included) that attach to the stock anti-roll bar D-brackets.
The endlings use two balljoints with an adjustable link in between. They make noise when going over speed bumps and through driveways; they did since day one.
The endlinks attach to the bar at one of three points near the end of the bar. The inner one is closer to the central axis of the bar, so it's the stiffest setting.

Re: (JICEK9)
I have it on my hatch without one up front. It makes the pivot point on the car near the e-brake, if that is understandable. I think it is the best suspension part I have gotten so far.

Re: comptech rear tie bar? (ef ect)
thanks for the replys still would like to see if anyone has ran a stock bar on this tie bar. I got a SI bar and end links, that i may install but was thinking of steping up to a 17mm integra ls bar in the rear. I think that would give me a good tight fealing but not to tight. But i might just end up with the kit and play around with the sway bar; hell I might like the set up. When I do this swap ill be doing EX front brakes/ swaybar, Si rear brakes/? swaybar, skunk 2's, agx's,si pp valve, and am looking to do a mc and brake booster at the same time. But it getting cold here always seams to be cold when i go to do a big job like this . This should make a big difrence in the handeling from the stock dx crap . rambel on rambel on ......
I will be adding power stearing from the ex too and all suspention is getting the energy suspention treatment along with the moter mounts. Power steering is to make the car more driveable though the manual is not to tough just got it for free with the front set up. Good set up for 400$ front and rear plus got other nick nacks like si muffler and tweeter pods and a replacment for my drivers upper mount the b20 took out.
