EK clutch pedal adjustment (WTF?)
What's up. My clutch is being a little bitch (ACT HDSS) ever since I installed it my clutch started to grab way low (barely letting it out). Previous owner told me that he readjusted his clutch before because he couldn't drive it the other way. Previous clutch used to slip like a bitch (even though it had plenty of meat on it when I took it off). So I tried adjusting the clutch today, and manual tells me I should have a 6 1/2 installed hieght (it's for EG, my car is EK) and I'm only getting like 6 inches with the rod screwed totaly out(WTF???). Are EK specs different or what's up.
Can somebody please give me some pointers?

Mine did the same thing. Just break it in a couple hundred miles and it will engage normally. Hell, I stalled it out the first time because it engaged so soon.

trust me my legs a big enough. As I said before previous owner fucked with the clutch pedal adjustment because he couldn't drive for **** and the only way that he could get it going was to let the clutch slip all the time. Which led to messed up tranny, and slipping clutch (with disk still perfect).

Why not just loosen the locknut, turn the push rod till you've got a little bit of wiggle for clearance and tighten the nut back up? Adjust the clutch switches as needed.
FYI: Helms says 6.5" for the 6th gens.

I've installed ACT on both my coupe and my hatch and both times I had to adjust the pedal a bit. It would seem like it the clutch would not completely disengage. It would get worse once the clutch heated up. Once I adjusted the rod to the right spot, they work like champs.
I never adjusted it per the manual, just adjusted it a bit and drove it around to see how the feel was.
ACT should grab low to the floor, you will most likely stall a few times before you get used to it. Just gotta learn how to blip the gas a little before you start letting the clutch out from a stop.

Its just how they are desinged. ACT is one of the only companies I know of that engages like this. Most work like yours does.
