Why spend 1300 bucks on a GT28RS when you can spend 600 on a T3/TO4E 50 trim and be done with it.

250whp? Get a GReddy kit.

Don't waste your money running a SC61, GT28RS GT30R or the like at 5 psi to impress H-T.

i had the greddy kit on my car- it was tough trying to hold steady and constant boost without spick/creep or better yet- drop off- i think it has to do with WG placement as well as size, i think the gate is placed too close to the inlet

as well the dp is small, and can be the reason for the gate opening earlier

I was at the Dyno the other day and they were tuning a 96 totally stock gsr(even intake manifold) hella homemade turbo kit, with a super 60 turbo (******* hairdryer turbo super small) they made 235whp. Also getting extra grounds on your engine could gain some horsepower, my friend got a grounding kit and gained 11.1 whp.

Exactly, if your goal is only 250whp, than go for the g-reddy dogg!! Seriously though, I have used a couple of those kits (along with many others) with great results...Even if you wanted more hp later on, you can still use that turbo for about 300whp or a little more....Great street turbo!!

TRYING to run 10, 12, even 15 psi but boost keeps falling off to 8psi and held steady.

I upgraded everything on the kit, downpipe, wastegate, exhaust, bored the wastegate housing, etc.

nothing worked.

I would also go with the gt28rs, as your powerband will be huge with virtually no lag.

you can also try a t3/t4B turbo, smaller than the E housing cheaper than the GT28RS

I left my kit all stock as it comes from greddy, and never really had any problems...I just had to make sure my wastegate vacc line was real short, and also had my manual boost controller set properly..(turbo xs dual adjustment)..

t3t4b will spool up quick but will lack topend, just go with the E housing, you won't regret it
