Default want opinions

so im thinking about making an exhaust manifold for my civic... and since highrisers are so sweet... im thinking that would be oftly cool to make... so i rhinoed up a couple ideas just a few minutes ago, and here is how it turned out... kind of a rough quick job

BTW, the hight wouldnt be that extreme... though i would go for as high as i can go... might even have to wrap it with heat wrap so i dont mess up my hood...

I think it LOOKS cool....but if you are only building it for looks then whats the point of wasting that much money and time for. I dont know what kind of gains you are going to get out of that if any....

well, i figure, its gatta be better than my super constricted DX header... itle probably be cheape in the long run, cuz il make it in my school, and it does look good, so looks like all plusses to me...

1&4 2&3?

im not positive but i think it should be 1&3 2&4 based on the exhaust pulses.....

Nope, its 1&4, 2&3 like he has it.

Looks good, you might want to research exhaust manifold design to see how well it'd work/get some ideas.

I would start to look at other headers that are proven to make power and base your design off of them... look at the AR-C headers and Hytec headers. That and look for the stock type R headers and see how they design them.... you can also look into some designs that other people have tried... good luck keep posting them

haha... joking... i finally found a picture of one, and this is what im trying to get it like... this manifold is actually from a suzuki motor... i just wanted to get a real picture so youguys coulds see a real life pic of one... just incase you havent...

I think all in all thats a very cool idea, it lets you sit the primary collectors up in the engine bay as opposed to down under the pan.

I'm building a header right now ( a tri-Y) and we just barely can get enough length to have the collectors sitting in the engine bay


OH and the proper paring is 1-4 2-3 edited for that
