Cel 92?? Evaporative Emission Control System ??
It means insufficient evaporative emission purge flow.
The way to diagnose it is to hook up a vacuum pump/gauge (Autozone)
to the line that runs from the evap canister to the evaporative
purge control valve.
Disconnect the line from the evap canister and
hook the vacuum gauge to that.
Start the car and check for vacuum.
Coolant temp should be below 168F.
If there is vacuum (about 22-26 Hg), disconnect the
electrical connector and check for battery voltage across it.
note: yel/blk (+) wire goes to fuel injection main relay and
red wire (-) goes to ecu
If there is no battery voltage, check for voltage between
yel/blk wire and body ground.
If there is voltage, check red wire for an open to body
ground between ECU and the electrical connector.
If there is no voltage on yel/blk, there's a break somewhere
between the connector and the fuel injection main relay.
The red wire is broken somewhere on my GSR and it's also throwing
code 92.
