Default coolant reserve tank relocation

ok, i slapped an ebay cai on my 96 ls a few weeks ago, and the pipe got in the way of the coolant reserve tank, so i just hung it over the top and let it dangle for a while.....then i got bored and decided to find a decent place to remount it.....after some experimentation, i found a spot where it will work (see pics), so now i'm trying to decide on the best way to attach it. i want it to look halfway nice, and also be strong enough to stay on there for a while, but i don't want it on there so well that it'll be a b!tch to get off if i wanna change things around. i thought about jb weld, but i haven't worked with it enough to know how well it would suit me here......if anyone has ideas or interesting comments, i'd be happy to hear them..thanks

oh yeah, the mount will sit at a 45-70 degree angle from straight up with the top pointing back toward the battery, so there's not a whole lot of surface area to mount to....need to resize my photoshop text

Easier to just saw the lower extension of the pipe at the angle where it wont rub against it.

why relocate your coolant reservoir at all? you have a 2 piece cai. just cut it so that your coolant reservoir stays in its factory location!

I would think this too, and I'd do it. You won't get any points or compliments for relocating something like that just for installing a eBay CAI. If you had to that just means your CAI was designed poorly and didn't fit right in the first place, which it true. Just cut the pipe to make it fit.

i took mine off i didnt really think it was that important. all it is is an overflow tank for when the coolant gets hot and boils out right?, and my motor never gets that hot.

the tank works in two ways. it will hold overflowing coolant but lets say u have a leak in ur radiator(like i did a month ago) then coolent will be drawn from the tank(which saved me a motor)
