Apexi Power FC TUNERS! Step inside...
Any of you FC users get a single check engine light flash when shifting hard at redline? I'm not talking about hitting the rev limiter...it happens at the point when you engauge the next gear...almost like it's detecting wheel spin, or engine load at the point after the shift.

not that...i check my peak inj value and it's not near threshold. happens when i shift lower as well when the tires break...
Thanks!
Anyone else?

You should do map trace while shifting, because the pressure will fall rapidly while the RPM's are still high, that will set you in the upper right area of the map.
Usally you have a lot of ignition advance there and you will see see a high knock level while beeing in this area of the map.
So check you knock levels too.

good point but right now i don't have the knock warning setting "on," I'm using a z6 block and haven't fit up a knock sensor yet so even if it was on there'd be no reading.
Could it be as simple as a traction control warning? Never heard of it on the FC's but then again nobody in the US knows much about it!

I know it doesn't have traction control but maybe a no load warning light?
I don't have the FC software or box, just a commander. Sorry!

That flash is mainly the knock sensor, for noise. For some reason in boosted applications, that seems to come on a lot.. It works ok, though... nothing to really worry about.

Yep, it's def diabled. Maybe a spike in oil pressure or something? Hard to tell!

The knock warning still doesn't disable that part of the sensor.... Mine does it now, and I fully tuned it with no real issues. Apex'i is starting to give more technical advise on it now.

Why should he get a CEL if knock warning is disabled?
The PFC continues to read the knock sensor values, but you won't get a CEL any longer.

Can you elaborate more on this? Who exactly is giving more technical advise.
