Default gsr block

i have a gsr block. i want to rebuild it. they told me use my gsr crank and get eagle ls rods and cp pistons with 11.5 compression. ima replace all bearings and seals and all that. so should i use those ls rods ????? what kinda set up is more reliable??

uhm... it dosent matter the only diff. is that the ls rods have a slightly longer stroke but if your going with forged rods id just use the gsr's and get those CR: pistons either way itll be the same CR: i just dosent make sense to use the ls ones... but then again maybe they know something i dont

LS rods WILL NOT WORK with gsr crank. The rods are to short and to wide on the crank end to fit. They are not as strong as the gsr rods. There are some good books on hot rodding honda/acuras.Keep doing your research.

LS rods are SHORTER damn guys.... they wouldnt be long enough to use with a gsr crank and you would actually have a worse r/s ratio without even gaining displacement from the LS stroke....

IMHO a LS crank and rods in a gsr motor would be a real good street build with some JDM R pistons on there
