on the way home from work my car fucked up. i was heading up the street doing winding out the top of second gear, when wham, it felt like how your car feels when you run out of gas, anyways car stalls, i coast. i tried to start it, and it acted like it wanted to start, it was really rough then it stalled out. now it wont turn over, i popped the hood, and i guess the good thing is, there are no holes, and no oil leaking or any fluids.

when the car cools down a little bit im giong to push it home, and check the distributor and make sure the rotor screw didnt come out. i just wanted to post here and see if anybody had any suggestions for me to look at i dont have alot of tools at home, everything is at my father in laws garage.

crx, b16a, fmu (i know i know) revhard kit pushing 6 psi.

 

maybe your coil pack or ignitor went

 

3 words, "Air, Fuel and Ignition" im sure you are getting air but you may want to check and make sure you don't have a bird in your intake next check ignition, pull each plug and hold it next to a ground wail turning the motor. make sure your skin isn't grounded and closer to the plug end then the actual ground. assuming it all sparks ok, next check fuel pressure and all that good stuff...

 

ive got fuel pressure, i can hear the pumps prime, i have the stock pump and my inline pump is placed after the filter, so i no i have fuel to the rail. after thinking about it some more im sure its spark related. the same thing happend to me about 2 years ago with this motor, the rotor screw came out. i havent got a chance to look but i will in the morning my guess is that its the dizzy. i will keep this updated though

 

maybe the timing belt broke take the valve cover off and check.

 

the timing belt is brand new, but i will check that as well.

 

that happened to me and i dropped a valve. pull the plugs and check them out

 

hmmm, how do i check for that, when i pull the plugs will i be able to see it?

yea, cause the spark plug could be all fucked up from the valve smacking into it.


check to see if your timing belt, didnt just skip some teeth. that would cause havok on your engine as well.

 

I'd say your distributor is shot. I've personally killed 3 of them. Almost the exact same problem when it died.

 

one of your cams might have seized up in the head, i had that happen to me a couple days ago, not sure why though.

 

it was the rotor, i pulled the cap off and it was in peices lol im not sure how it exploded but it did. lol i will post up pics of the carnage later it was pretty comical.
