Default problem with check engine light on and D4 blinking

i have accord 2000 LX with 40k miles and i am having repeated check engine light on and D4 blinking. i went to honda dealer and they have done these things so far everytime i went

1st time i went replaced sensor that detects gear shifts
2nd time it happened replaced transmission since it was under warrenty
3rd time it happened replaced computer and fuse box since the code it was saying P1705

it happened again today and i dropped it of with the dealer. i am getting so frustrated with this car. can i ask the honda america to give me fair market price for this car (i think it is lemon by now) so that i can buy another car. can someone give me ideas what might be happening . any advice is appreciated.

thanks

i'm having exactly the same problem with my car...

both park and D is on and D is blinking, took it to the shop...they are telling me its my shift solenoid...

going to get it fixed on tuesday and see if anything starts messing up again. for some reason when i mess with the fuse box it does something to activate that problem...and sometimes its just goes away... this is my second transmission already. and my car is over the warranty period. I wonder if someone else have similar problem and mabe we could start a class action lawsuit agains honda and initiate some kind of a recall

one more thing...I just had a new engine put in and before that i had no problems of this sort, just once, after my car came from a collision shop(had very minor front end damage...no blown airbags...) about 2 years ago

when my engine was opened up, they used water to wash some of the oil from my old engine block...I'm thimking they might have gotten something wet...

we need to get as many responses on this as we can, if anybody experienced the same problem they can contact me at alexhadla@comcast.net and leave e-mail.I can see if we have enough people to start class action suit and get our problems fixed

btw. I also drive 2000 accord lx 4cyl sedan

Simple answer to having a lemon law car. NO. The car has to still be under factory warranty by time and milage. Plus if you read the law check engine lights do not count or fall under the lemon law. Second it has to be the SAME repair, you had different repairs done each time. Problem and repair with in 6 months of each other and has to happen at least 4 times. The lemon law is very tricky, sensor you r out of warraty honda may help you if you've been a good cutomer to that dealer and them or they could tell you to go **** in your hat. Its a 50/50 chance that they will help. But you have NO case for a lemon law.

maybe i did not clarify myself correctly...It is the SAME problem, which the dealer tried to fix numerous times each time trying to find whats wrong fixing different things, BUT THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM STILL PRESIST...D4 and P are both on...transmission slams into a gear, and somehow by touching fuse box the problem goes away...HMMMMMM.WEIRD!!!!!!!!!!!! Someday the problem just goes away, it might be months, even years before exact symptoms reoccure and then go mystiriously away. I'm going to replace my shift solenoid to see what happens, but i 've got a feeling this is not going to fix the problem, and if i can get as many people as i can with the same problem exchange some information, we can try to find out whats wrong with our cars

i had the same problem with my 94 accord a year or two ago . the parking light was on and the D4 light was blinking . and after a few mins, the cel would come on also . the problem turned out to be that i had a bad VSS (vehicle speed sensor) . it is located on the tranny near the thermostat housing . but other symptoms i also had was that the speedometer was not working as well . however, the speedometer problem doesnt seem to be your case . but the other problem is related to your problem in some way, so id thought i throw a suggestion out there, just incase if it was the culprit .

btw what code did your cel come up with ? did you check it yet .

My girlfriends 96 V6 was doing the same thing. Make sure that the harness is plugged in. I played with hers and it didn't blink anymore. Its been almost a year now.
