Theft rate in the WA area has been horrible this year. Especially with tegs. I was just thinking about parting it out and doing payment on a s2000. My original goals were to turbo my '98 gsr by this spring. But since a lot of local tegs have been stolen, i think it would be best just to sell it and get at least some cash i put into it back. This car is currently my daily driver. I'm just sick of not being able to take my car to the movies, malls, or anywhere where i can't see it.. for the fear of it being stolen. Any input guys/gals?

btw, i test drove an s2k and i really enjoyed it. But i also love my teg a lot too.

 

Just get a cheap 2nd car to park at the mall or movies.

That's why I have a 2nd car thats a full size truck.

get an 87 accord like me reliable car to have

 

theft is why i drive my 91 aerostar to the movies/malls. so what if theres no AC and the windows dont work. so what if it goes in reverse when its in drive. so what if i dont need a key to start it. and so what if my van smells funny. at least i know my car is safe at home. i say jus get a cheap beater. you'll feel much better.

nah just playin. I'm worried about my car too, theft really bites. I like the other guys' ideas, buy a beater car if you can.

 

if you are that worried about it, invest in a pager alarm system

that way if you are in the mall or somethin where you cant see your car, the pager will tell you if someone is jackin with it.

 

So thieves wouldn't rather go after an s2k? I'm honestly asking. I guess they're more afraid of higher class cars?
