don't need to have a baller station in life to have a baller car.

I just opened a shop called Hondoctors in March, and I work weekends at a restaraunt waiting tables in Mandalay Bay. I'm definately not a baller, and I figured that the NSX would lose the least amount of value over time compared to any other car I could have bought in the $25,000 range.

My Dad actually started all the businesses and paved the way for my brothers and I. Now my brothers and I are just continuing everything my dad has started, also expanding it even more.
All I know is,"it takes money to make money." I heard that somewhere, just dont know where. Thats the best advice I can give you.

Also to add...the bigger the risk the bigger the reward; only those willing to take great risks will see success. In other words, it ain't easy (lots of people invest lots of money and struggle for a while before their investments turn out; ie small businesses)

you're right, but i've come to the conclusion (for now) that money DOES by contentedness which can lead to true happiness.
and i'm pretty positive that if i sat in an NSX every day for a few years, there would be a smile on my face the whole time.

I don't get every day because of snow, but in the summer the NSX is my daily, and it's great.

Here's some advice: Quit your sniveling. I know that sounds harsh but it sounds like you need it. There are MANY MANY MANY self-made people out there and one of the first rules, if not the first rule, is quit feeling sorry for yourself. If you can't do that then affluency is just a jealous dream.
<== grew up on Section 8 housing and WIC.
PS - Here's a good start. One of the best inspirational stories I've ever heard. His book "Miss Phillips You Were Wrong" is a great read.
