Default CEL diagnostic help

Hello all.

Here is the situation -

B16A1 w/ obd0 - Factory install, (EE8) Crx

Couple weeks ago, had the dizzy lock up on me. Got a used dizzy from an H-T member couple days ago, and threw it in. New cap/rotor etc...

Now, im getting a CEL Code 9 - According to most documentation i can find, that means cylinder position, or some such... and isnt very explanatory.

The catch is, when the dizzy locked up, so did the intake cam. It jumped about 4 teeth, so I had to reset the cam to tdc. Everything looked fine when setup was finished. The car drives fine, a little boggy, but im thinking its cause i havent thrown a timing light on it yet (more just an eyeball, yea its in the center, type timing ) I also get a tach jump about 7k, and VTEC is still engaging @ the proper time.

Any ideas as to what may be causing this CEL?

Possibly a bad distributor, Isn't the sensor for that code in the distributor???

By "in the center" I gather you set it at 16 degrees not tdc which is the white mark all by itself

I have no idea where the sensor that sends that CEL is located.

I rechecked my mechanical timing (cams/crank) and im dead on. Reset the ecu and still throw the code instantly.

Anyone? Im noticing a dead top end, im not able to hit 8k rpm near as quick.

If its the distributor, id like to know for sure, since I just bought it from a HT member who said it was gtg.

By "in teh center" i mean i set the dizzy cetered on the bolts opposing the head.

I dont have a timing light atm, gonna have to wait for the autoskill center to open and go borrow one.

Either way, i could retard/advance the whole spectrum and still never throw a code 9 CEL if all was working properly.

This is why i need to know wtf this code is, and what sensor initiates it.
