I thought it was my alternator but it wasn't
I charged it and started it
Pulled the positive cable off the battery and it still runs, but if it's still plugged and you crank it...it's weak and (red) headlights?!
I checked the fluids in the battery and it's all dried out.
Dude...spell check...and type right...i had to read your post like 4 times till i finally said forget it and fixed it up
The liquid in your battery is not H20...it's distilled water. Depending on what type of battery it is, some using gels, the battery may be outta juice...
EDIT my fault...

car batteries are filled with distilled water not acid. Motorcycle and jet ski batteries are filled with acid. If the battery is bone dry then you shouldn't bother re filling it and just buy a new one. Smarter thing to do. Putting acid in a 12 volt battery, stupid thing to do.

civicboisi i was in a rush because i have to go ref today and now it died. just makin a simple quick question.. hope u guys get i was asking.
so distilled water is not H2O? i seen fluids at some local auto stores thats made for battery and contains sulfuric acid and water. its called battery fluid. i was thinking if this would work and the battery would charge up again.

Distilled water is H20, it's distilled H20. Basically if you boil water and catch the steam coming off boiling water what you collect is distilled water. The same process is used in making alcohol. You can get distilled water at the grocery store. I'm not so sure about the stuff you saw at the store. It's probably not for 12 volt car batteries. And once again, if the battery was completely dry I would replace it. It got dry most likely due to a leak and that is bad. Good luck.
the batteries contain sulfuric acid. it says it on the top lid. the bottle i have in hand says contains sulfuric acid and water. ??? cant afford a new battery
