Default Buddy Club Cams spec 3

I am thinking about droping these into my b16 but have a few questions. I know I will probly have to upgrade the valve springs, but will the stock retainers do? How much more are you able to rev with these cams to get good power?

I am pretty sure for anything but Stage 1....you have to upgrade...
-springs
-retainers
-valves

If you are gonna go Buddy Club Stage 3...then you should be able to afford to upgrade all at the same time...and might as well get your head done at the same time....would make cignificant gains i think

The buddy club spec 3 are a stage 1 cam....they dont have to much lift, just more duration. Im pretty sure with type r valve springs it should be good but I have b16 valve train. I think the retainers are the same as the type r but the springs change.

Yeah I saw that thread, it looks like people are saying to upgrade your valve train with the m22's instead of the buddy club spec 3

yes its b16 valvetrain. Honestly I dont recommend it. Cause dropping a valve can ruin everything. Just be safe and get springs and retainers. I run supertech and its great, contact earl if u're interested.

I am not sure if you realize but bc3+ have quite big exh lift 11.7. Do your self a favor and upgrade your springs ( on the exh side)
