Default just called about my motor swap and need help

hello

I just called a place around here about a gs-r swap for my civic hatch. The guy said that he think he would be able to take the task on but he said that i need to covert my car over from a cable tranny to a hydrolic tranny. He wants me to ask around and see what all i would need to do because he's never done something like that. He has done a b18a/b swap in civic but hes never done a vtec motor into a non vtec car. he says he can do it but the tranny might be a problem. so if u could please tell me what i would have to do i would appreiciate it.

thanks.

Its the same thing (as far as the install), you would just need a cable to hydro tranny conversion kit

You don't have to install a hydro tranny you can use a cable one. It is your call...I think it would be easier to do the cable tranny install than a hydro one but that is my personal opinion...and everyone's got one

I agree, I'd go with a cable tranny as well. I was thinking you already had the motor/tranny.

If he really said that then go somewhere else..He obviously doesnt know honda motors that well..
Tell that fool that he has to get hasport mounts(hydro tranny version),linkage, and wire the car for obd1 and add the vtec wires..If he says that's hard then take your car somewhere else..

I found a motor mount kit on hasport.com and it says "These mounts make B-series engine swaps into the 88-91 Civic or CRX a simple, bolt-in process. The kit is designed to work with the B-series engine and the hydraulic transmission."

so that is all i would need as far as tranny and motor mounts right? Heres the link

http://www.hasport.com/Product...2.htm

and would i need the rear engine bracket and the speacial axles or not?
