I've never heard of that happening, but it may be in part due to a shift that was a bit too rough... lol

The tranny must have gotten damaged from something else and it probably finished breaking when you engaged the clutch after shifting into 5th.

No it didnt break after the clutch engaged. It just broke as I shifted from 4th to 5th and never actually entered 5th gear. The only part of the tranny that broke is the section where the stabilizer bar bolts up. I was just wondering if anybody else had ever broken one in this manner.
