I found .044 on a honda dealer site. i think it was Majestic or something

 

I picked some new plugs NGK BKR6E-11 the stock plugs out the engine where
BKR6E-N11. Would these be fine? Whats the difference? The stock plugs pulled of the engine had the following gaps. .048, .044, .048, .044. I believe these are the originial ones. Now all the new plugs came gapped at .040. I let the gap alone and installed. Car seems to run fine. If I have the gap to small what will the result be? To small a spark and possible not burning all the fuel?

ahh.. so you went with the cheap ones? i do belive that the gsr come oem with the NGK-R, part number IFR6E-11. they come pre-gapped to 0.051~0.052. the ones that you have, BKR6E-11, will also work for your car, they are just the standard NGK plugs, not the iridiums, although, if they were for the right application (95 gsr) they should have also been gapped to 0.051~0.052 as well. you can use the ones that you bought, just take them out and re-gap them. the 0.04 gap that they are at now may cause a smaller spark, like you said, not burning all the fuel and your engine may run a little rich. may cause the spark plugs to wear out prematurely. even though it is not off by much, one thing that i learned owning a honda is that it is better to have some thing "perfect" rather than just "close to perfect". i hope this helps you.

 

Actually the engine has a sticker on accessory belt side which has the plug type listed. The plugs pulled from the engine match the sticker. I'll regap them tomorrow. Thanks for the info.
