Alright..let me try to explain this in the most understandable way!..... When im driving, and when 3,000rpms comes buy, i hear this weird noise, i have no clue to explain. Its like, something vibrats, like a plasitc or something vibrateing.. i have no clue to y this does this..and also, when i start my car, my "maintaince" light, flashes like 10times, then stops....1 more thing, i had a bad oil leak, i went to put more oil in it, week later, no leakin at all, and i still have oil, so wth is that all about..sorry for all the questions.. but this is the place to ask them, if u want the right answers!...alright thanks a lot

The nosie outside your car is most like the heat shields hitting the exhaust ... really easy to fix .. take them off. integra's have this problem alot.... The maintaince light is not big deal does that like every 7000 miles i belive ... all you have to do is reset it ... Reach under the driver dash bored .. under the streeing wheel ... if you can;t feel it .. get on your knees and look under the dash bored and you will see a buttom ... push and hold the buttom for 10 sec and that should reset it .... i dont understand about the oil since you said it stoped ... hope i helped .... use the search buttom next time ... everyone will flame you for that , but dont let it bug you ... everyone starts off somewhere. ....

 

noise around 3000 could be timing belt related.. pop the hood and rev the motor a little via the throttle body cable.. listen around the plastic timing cover.

reset the maintaince light by holding the button that hidden above your right knee for a couple seconds.

wheres the oil leak? check your cam seal..filter.. oil pan.. lines.. etc.. then work from there.

u think its the timeing belt itself..cuz it was replaced at 100,000mile, and i have 155,104 right now

did you check the timing belt cover?
my timing belt used to rub on it but now it doesn't cause it ate away the plastic

Maybe you should try the more readable format next time.

 

yea, it could be the timing belt it's self rubbing on the cover or the tensioner.. just a though though! i seem to have that slight grinding noise around 2800-3000 as well & sounds like it's coming from there. take off your valve cover and take a look at the belt and see if it looks worn or if its not centered on the cam sprockets. what about the oil leak? do you have oil on the block or what?

plus one on the heat shield, I had the same problem. I removed it and no more noise

Jimblake----what exactly is the A-pipe?...and machell.. i fixed my heat sheild problems..so i know 4-sure its not a heatsheild......as for the oil leak, Sometimes i see it on the block, like where its says "B18c"... i dunno where that could be coming from, and how to fix it..but its weird, sometimes it will leak, then sometimes it wont leak...the only thing i know for sure is though, is that i need new rings, cuz the car overheated 1 time, and so it burns oil, but other than the leak, i dunno y.....alrigh

 

The A-pipe is the first exhaust section, others call it a head-pipe. It goes under the oil pan to the cat. In many Hondas it's a double-wall pipe. Sometimes the inner pipe gets loose & rattles. Nothing visible without removing the pipe, since the outer pipe is still solid & there's no exhaust leak.

Mine was a little more wierd. The inner pipe didn't come loose, but with age & temperature, it warped. It was still attached but it was buzzing against the outer pipe. The sound drove me nuts because it only happened when I was accelerating. Revving in neutral never flexed the pipe enough to buzz.

There's a handful of possibilities here, like the timing belt. You've got to check them all, we can't tell from here which one is making YOUR noise.
