Measure the length from the flange to the very end, and tell us how long it is. Then tell us how much length you have from the head ( on the engine ) to the firewall, those look pretty long and I would just be worried about them being really close to the firewall.

8 1/4 " from flange to tip of the itbs

about 13 1/2 " from valve cover to the fire wall

these are Honda CBR 954 rr itb's. reason behind choosing these perticular itbs is that they use honda tps and map sensors. cost me 100 bux so far. still need to buy a vacuum manifold. i could make one but its only 35 bux.

wait, and the "adapter plate" you have (as i look closely) is nothing more than an intake manifold that you cut the tunnle off of?

yup. some people do sell flanges to do it that way but thats only helpful if you use gsxr itbs which can be spaced out perfect
the 954 rr itbs are about 2-3 mm off on each outside runner

Search around, a lot of threads on it. You really need a wideband to tune it with

What kind of fuel management system do you have though ? Also is seems like you have pretty good firewall to itb clearance. And there are atleast 5 threads out there that really talk about itb's.
