Well my driver side switches to roll down both windows doesn't work. However if I hold the door open as far as possible the switches work! I checked all the connections and they're all secure...
What else should i check?

Well I checked for frayed wries and couldn't find anything. My whole door is taken apart, switches and all. The only thing I have left attached is the door handle with the power locks.. Now the power lock doesn't work all the time
I'm thinking it is the relay. How can I check to be sure this is it? My dad was suggesting the relay wiring might have gotten crimped and broken inside going from the door to inside the car...
Also does anyone have a picture of where this wire goes once it's inside the car? i searched for awhile but i can't feel it

i had similar problem.
1) check the wiring looms for breaks (use multimeter)
2) borrow a known good relay box (the green box) and test it
3) then borrow known working switch
that should give you a good start.

thanks but i believe it's more than just the power windows. The power locks on the dirver side are also acting weird

if it only works when you open the door.... and the passenger side still works.. (does it?) I have a theory:
when you open the door, the harness is probably pushed slighly into the car (inside where you can't see it) and it pushes an otherwise loose connector together.
if you want a picture of where the wires go, here ya go:I knew cutting up my old junk would come in handy...
here is a picture of the passenger side... same layout as the driver's side

the red line is the bundle for the door - it was cut off at the point it sticks out. If you pull & pry on the rubber boot, it will come loose.

I guess you could say this picture is from the perspective of the passenger seat, looking over at the driver's side.
the yellow line points to where the wiring comes through into the cabin. The plug that connects the door wiring to the cabin wiring is INSIDE frame, between the sheetmetal in the car and the sheet metal outside the car. There should be enough slack to get to it. like mentioned above, if you pull and pry on the boot on the outside, you should be able to get to it from outside the car.
The grey harness hanging down MIGHT be it, it was unplugged so it was free to move around - however that one looks a little bigger and lighter color then I remember so it may not be.
anyway, hope that helps.

ok now both doors have lost power locks (can lock both doors from passenger side but not driver side) both power windows don't work.
Pretty sure theres a loose wire under that fuse box

Hi, have you check fuses? and if I am right the control box has the relay inside it. The control box should be with the door. I will try to past the wire color for you need to know the year and modle. The only way is to check power from the fuse with a test light first. If you have power then check again at the relay? let me know what want to do?
