there is, but you'll have to pay someone to do it.
when you disable it it triggers a CEL, so unless you don't mind that ugly yellow light, you're kind of out of luck.
you can have it reprogrammed to fit any master key though, done at the dealer for around 70 bucks.

you can permanently override it with a spare key if you really want to. I work in these electronics daily and will tell you that I would not recommend going to the trouble unless you have a really important reason for doing so. Plus, its a good security feature anyways.
steal the car or something?
steal the car or something?
not for stealing or whatsoever, i bought a wreck lude from a bodyshop and was told that it had no key, so went to dealer to buy a key and was told the only way they can program the key is to bring the car down.......
If you don't have the red key you can't make another. The only way you can make another key if you buy a whole new system...I know Because I lost my red key....But thanks to honda care warrenty I Got it replace for free....

in lemans terms, the red key is used to reprogram the ECU if it ever needed to be replaced
the reason honda doesn't need it to make a new key is because they reprogram the immoblizer unit to work with another code, there actually is no easy way to find out what code a particular car has without having an origanal key
the key "cut" or "Design" however, can be found by VIN number, and it will open the doors, turn on the acc. and ing, and it will even crank the car but it will not start the car
now to start a big argument there is a proceedure that can be done, to tigger a bypass
the process envolves taping the brakes, and turning on/off the ing, to a certain code, which can be provided by a honda dealer, and looking up the procedure, i found it on here about a year ago in the archives and the car will start like this upto 10 times i believe.. without a programed key, I tryed this however and it did not work
but other people have had luck

People should stop asking this question. It encourages other to go and 'steal' preludes. There is a way to remove it(disable), but no one other than Honda and Honda dealerships need to have that information.
