Default CF hoods + turbo=heat problems?

i was wondering if the CF hoods will be damaged if there is a turbo very close to it. i kind of had an accident and my hood is all damaged. I wanted to replace it with a CF hood since i found one for like 350 from VIS and it would be the same price as getting a heavier OEM one and repainting that. my turbo is maybe an inch or less away from my original hood. i was wondering if that would melt or damage the clear coat stuff on the hood.

also, if this was on a 93 prelude si, would i need to buy hoodpins and drill holes and such?

Well my brother h22 turbo hb with cf hood got really hot and the carbon fiber started to get waves where it was, i doubt a verry high quality cf hood would do that. Get a VIS if your doing that. Just thought i'd share.
