That must sound orgasmic.
Anyone with sound clips ?

I shift around 9000 to 9100 RPM.
...But then again I still make good power up there, and have a head that can take revs like that.
Don't go around revving your stock valvespring/retainer'd B-series to 9k RPM or higher. It won't like it.

it all depends on the map
my ECU stops mapping at 8800, i used to rev to 10k. it interpolates so it isint gonna freakas soon as u pass the limit in the ECU.
BTW i havent ever heared 13k on a b16, but i have heared 10-11k alot
it made **** for power, and tore up all sorts of **** on my engine (alternator, diustributor) my bearings were beat, but werent that bad considering..
i woudlnt rev that high again, its just asking for trouble, unless its b uilt properly everytime u get up there your thinking "maybe this is the time it blows
"
of course i was doing it on a stock bottom end so who knows how close i got it to breaking

A B-16 will buzz 10grand but it starts nosing over at about 78 to 8 thou. Its ok to make the same poweron the way up .But your just hurting it if power is going down as the RPM goes up.It doesn't matter what you do to any of the hondas
with the stock crank. It will come apart a little past 10.Because the piston speed is to high.

Hondata maps to 10,975 rpm. 99% of us really don't need to go that high.
