Default In-Dash 6 Disc CD Changer

Does anyone know the exact size of the '02 in-dash cd changer (# 39100-S84-A300)?

Is it an exact double din?

Thx...

Does anyone know if this unit will fit/connect in a 1997 CR-V without modification?

Thanks,
Rob

(sorry for a slight hijack)

Thanks for the clarification.
Too bad, since the newer unit would make a nice swap!

Be well,
Rob

it will require modification but its quite simple...just get a harness and wire it to your existing harness

thank you for clarifing... some people think just because the plugs don't fit/match is over. there's always ways around. but I do have the in-dash 6 disc changer into a 91 accord. you can buy the pigtail plug at the dealer..

I wonder if there's a way to make a plug in harness adapter using both styles to go from new plug to old plug and vice versa....hhrmm......

If this Honda in-dash radio will fit in older Hondas and just requires a way to convert from the old connector (vehicle side) to the radio side (newer connector), it still interests me as a possibility.

Is there such an aftermarket adapter or must someone compare the schematics and build their own?

Thanks,
Rob
