Yes you can use the Y1 tranny on the B18C. Just use the clutch and flywheel that matches the tranny. BTW, why does your B16 suck? Is there something mechanically wrong with the motor?

ok well since the question has been answerd all ready.aside from the fact that the pr3 has the best head flow.with the amount of money you save from the b18c you can build your self a nice little diy turbo setup.you will have more hp and tourque than the stock gsr for about the same amount of $$$, well maybe a little more but not much.

Not everbody pays $3000 for a gsr swap from hmotorsonline though..I see the full swaps all over the place for 1500-2000 with papers..700 for a stolen swap
Best thing to do though is a b18c block with a b16a head(pr3)

it all really depends on mi;age and condition.ther eis a honda/ acura only yard by my house and im pretty good friends with the owner so i can pick up a mid milage gsr motor for about $2,100 or 3k for a full swap.but like i sed it really all comes down to the condition of the motor you know what i mean? if i looked hard enough im sure i could scroung up a beat to death dgr block and head for under $500 but your going to end up paying more in the long run.
na nothing wrong with it im trying to sell it its just not fast enough for me...
$1000 obo only been i the car for like 2 weeks. Thanks alot

Going to a B18C (non-R) from a B16A isn't a HUGE step. The marginal difference isn't worth the added cost IMHO. If you really want it to be significantly faster for your dollar, then turbocharge the B16A.
To answer your question though, yes the Y1 trans will work on the B18C. As Redline130 said, use the clutch and flywheel that matches the transmission.

Try 178hp/129 lb-ft for a JDM B18C, and 170hp/128 lb-ft for a USDM B18C1. Torque isn't anywhere close to 139 - that's more than a B18C5. Even the K20A3 is only pushing 132 lb-ft with a single-stage intake manifold, and 141 lb-ft with a dual-stage mani.
Compare that to 158hp/111 lb-ft for a 1st-gen JDM B16A, 160hp/111 lb-ft for a USDM B16A3/2, and 168hp/112 lb-ft for a 2nd-gen JDM B16A.
