Default do all swaps do that?

i have now seen 2 civic with swaps in them that do the same thing. when they are in idle, it seems like the motor keps reving by itself. it revs maybe up tp 1800k and then back to 1000k. do all swapsdo that, just wondering.

Sounds like a bad 02 sensor. All swaps dont do that.

No there is something wrong. Could be timing, vacuum tubes, or other stuff.

Mine did that when I first put it in... I had a dirty IAC valve.

The valve that is pictured is located right under your throttle body, and has two coolant lines going to it. Take off the small coolant hoses, and the two 10 mm bolts holding to to the TB and check it.

IAC valve diffinitely the spring pops it out too much and it makes the idle go up and down. annoying but sounds like you have some hard core cams.... lol easy fix. take it off and clean it and tighten the spring into it again. 5 - 10 minute fix and walla .... good as new.

if you want to find out if its the iac get a piece of a cereal box and cut out a section of it. loosen the bolts on the iac and slid it inbetween the iac valce and the manifold. tighten it down and fire it up.if it goes away there is your problem.

I always wanted to know why people's hondas do that. next time I see someone at a light that thinks they they got something cool going on i'll let them know they have a cool malfunction
