Default Setup for s2k...

Hey, im purchasing an s2k 00-03 an i was wondering what is a good setup for the s2k...im planning on going with the comptech supercharger, but not soon..but i was wondering what kind of exhaust, header, ecu, and etc. to go for. Im not looking for like 2 million doller exhausts and stuff, Something like spoon maybe (no idea about pricing) if you guys can help me out that would be great.

1) You cant buy an s2000 and expect not to pay much for upgrades.
2) All your answers are in the search

Intake - https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1106780

Header - https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1132447

Exhaust - Amuse R1 gets
HKS Discussion (mentions other exhaust applications) - https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1106780

First Mods - https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=337331

Suspension - https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1028243

Tires (youre going to need this after a couple days
) - https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1133861

Also be careful. With an s2000 some mods will lose you power instead of gaining so SEARCH before you buy.

Word of advice, buy the car first. So many posts are created " Hey im buying an s2000, what ...." Youre getting way over your head.

hahaha...i wish you could go to the search thing and go by week just to see how many of these "suggestion" threads there actually are.

1.) Buy the car first.
2.) See what kind of money you have left over to put towards the car after payment, insurance, upkeep, etc.
3.) See if supercharging this car is worth it to you for whatever use you are going to get out of it...also see if spending thousands on bolt ons combined is worth it to you.

...honestly, these kind of questions are getting tiresome. Use the search, you'll see so many different exhaust discussions, intake discussions, body kit discussions, cosmetic upgrade discussions, supercharger or turbo discussions, honestly, there's so many of them, every question you could possibly have is answered probobly 10 times over in 100 different threads.

I agree. Theres nothing wrong with a stock S2k. IMO they are fast and handle pretty good in OEM trim.

heres the best thing you can do...do not invest a penny into the car for mods for a minium of about a month. drive the hell out of it and then see what you want to change around. its very satisfying stock, but stock gets old to most.

We've had ours since last August, and neither me or my wife have any desire to modify anything performance related to this car, it just feels perfect as it sits, but that is just our opinion, some people are all about having the highest horsepower, some people just want boost for the sake of having boost, i myself love this well balanced extremely peppy n/a setup...and its still a pleasure to drive without worry of mechanical breakdown or a bouncy ride. Stock is where its at for me. (cosmetically its a different story, but that's mainly to do with my wife's taste for carbon fiber and desire to have black wheels...lol)

Yes...black rims on the red, we are powder coating the stock rims...

...and if we ever get a hardtop it'll be red, but given the price, i dont see that happening for a good while, my wife has the top down all the time anyways so it would be kind of a waste. VIS cf hood and oem style cf lip spoiler are being ordered next week. Then rims go out to be powder coated, should have it all done and back together by late this month...
